Salim M. Gebram, son of lebanese immigrants, decided in 1936 to dedicate himself to insurance sales, a field which was not much explored at this time due to a lack of Brazilian habit to prevent and also with a somewhat distorted image then associated to this kind of instituition. Starting as an "Insurance Agent", with hard and innovative work, he soon became representative of some major insurance companies. At that time, insurance of accidents at workplace had a special focus, due to its primary social function and used to provide a service of high quality, quite different from what is practised today by the government departments.
As one of the pioneers in the sector in the state of São Paulo, with a very strong wish, dedication and perseverance in business, besides his academic degree in law and pedagogy, in a short time, from a simple agent, he transformed into a registered firm named Organização Salim Grebram. The organization got a respectable position in the insurance market, thanks to his dedication and honesty in his work and in conjunction with the economic growth of the city of Jundiaí.
This example was a model to his sons, who took over the company. Today, after 60 years, with its tradition of good services, Gebram Insurance Agency desenvolved, expanded and professionalized until it becomes one of the leaders in the State of São Paulo with more than 15.000 clients and a staff of more than 60 specialized professionals.
